Konzentrationslager Auschwitz, Auschwitz (Stammlager) - a team of German Nazi concentration camps which existed in 1940-1945 in the suburbs of Oświęcim, a Polish city that was annexed
to the Third Reich by the Nazis. Its name was changed to Auschwitz, which also became the name
of Konzentrationslager Auschwitz.
Auschwitz has become a symbol of terror, genocide, and the Holocaust. Today it is a place
of memory and a museum. There you can see people's clothes, photos, personal properties, even hair and the wagons in which the people were transported to the camp. You can see documentation, learn about everyday life, tortures, experiments on the prisoners and ways of mass murders
 in the camp. Auschwitz became the largest of the death camps.
It was to be one more concentration camp of the type that the Nazis had been setting up since the early 1930s. It functioned in this role throughout its existence. Between 1.2-1.5 million people died at the camps, of whom about 1 million were Jewish.

The Castle in Malbork
(German: Die Marienburg, Polish: Zamek w Malborku)
It is a massive, brick stronghold, which was for nearly 150 years the capital seat
of The Order of The Teutonic nights of St. Mary's Hospital in Jerusalem -
 the Teutonic Knights. The fort, a classic example of a medieval fortress,
built in 1274 years, astonishes and both its vastness.
The fortress, consisting of the lower castle, the castle and the castle of the average
high make up one of the largest surviving groups of Gothic architecture in the world
and the world's largest brick gothic castle.

Centennial Hall in Wrocław

Description
   The Centennial Hall, a landmark in the history of reinforced concrete architecture,
was erected in 1911-1913 by the architect Max Berg as a multi-purpose recreational building, situated in the Exhibition Grounds. In form it is a symmetrical quatrefoil with a vast circular central space that can seat some 6,000 persons.
  The 23m-high dome is topped with a lantern in steel and glass.
  The Centennial Hall is a pioneering work of modern engineering and architecture, which exhibits
an important interchange of influences in the early 20th century, becoming a key reference
in the later development of reinforced concrete structures.

Intro





Here are some interesting projects of buildings saved by UNESCO,
which we made within the international project "UNESCO Village".



This project integrates Europe and Asia and promotes beautiful places recognized as World Heritage Sites.
We would like to present here our part of the project - Polish UNESCO sites. You can find here some basic information and Sketchup project shots on selected sites.
